Subhan Allah, it is very beautifully written and truly shows the beauty of praying Istikhara and surrendering to how Allah SWT unfolds our affairs after praying it.

before last year I uses to be scared and intimidated with the idea of praying Istikhara, but from last year onwards I've started to pray it for every major decision of my life and the experience has been so life changing that Istikhara is the first thing I think of before making any decision now.

Allahumma Barik! I admire the fact that it became first response for you. Sometimes I forget to make istikhara. I constantly have to remind myself or hear it somewhere.

Barakallahu Feeki

Thanks for sharing this wisdom! Your first example reminded me of my husband- he didn’t get into medical school on his first try, which is what allowed him to finish his hifdh that year.

Mashallah Hiba this is such a beautiful perspective, one thing that's always given me comfort is that there's blessings the divine has in store for us we don't even understand yet <3 Subhanallah.

Ah I feel honored for your trust but it’s a greater responsibility. How to make istikhara?

A short answer would be:

Make two rakahs of nafl Salah. Totally optional but I would absolutely recommend it. Then sit down with your dua. Ask Allah for his guidance. The words of the Dua you can find it on the internet with translation so you know what you are asking.

Make the Dua when you’ve made your decision and ask Allah to facilitate it for you if it’s Khair and remove it and give you something better and make you happy with it. (It’s included in the Dua itself).

Then put in your absolute best effort towards achieving what you’ve decided. If it works out thats what Allah wrote for you if not He has something better for you.

There’s no sign or dream that tells you what to do. I hope this doesn’t confuse you. Definitely look up islamqa, taht would be better.
